McDonald's Haunted Mansion Toys
A new line of Happy Meal toys will be headed to McDonalds this month. Based on Disney's newest film, the Haunted Mansion, these toys will feature a variety of optical illusions and funny pranks based on haunting events in the movie. The characters from the movie included in this series will be Ramsley’s Trunk, Zombie Surprise, Madame Leota, Singing Bust, Gracey’s Camera and Mortifying Mirror.
Cat in the Hat Plush Toys
With the Dr. Seus movie out, Play Along Toys is bringing out a new series of Cat in the Hat plush toys. Coming out first will be the Cat itself in plush form. The Cat comes with the Fish in the bowl and his umbrella, and he is also electronic. He says lines from the movie when you press his bowtie. This should be in stores now, and other plush characters from the movie should be out in time for Christmas.
Holiday Rizzo the Rat Figure
Palisades Toys proudly has announced a very special holiday promotion. An exclusive holiday themed Rizzo the Rat action figure from the wildly popular Muppets Action Figure series will be made available this month.
The figure will feature the popular Muppet character in a special holiday outfit, complete with Santa hat, and packaged in a special ready-to-mail package. No word yet on other holiday muppets to be released.
He-man Busts
Matel was on hand at the latest Wizard World Texas show, with the latest in their series of Masters of the Universe toys. On display were two new detailed 6 inch statues. The characters on display were Skeletor and Merman, but these two villains are not the only ones to be developed. Additional statues for other He-man characters will be available in the new year. The statues feature the character with an assortment of weapons and accessories.
Transformers Statues
Also putting on a display at the Wizard World Texas show was Hasbro with a new series of Transformers statues. Similar to the He-man statues on display, these Transformers are large and detailed, each with their own trademark weapons. First in the series are statues of the shows hero, Optimus Prime, and his arch enemy Megatron.
Matrix Mini Busts
Toy maker Gentle Giant will be bringout out a new set of Matrix mini busts. These busts will features characters in their customes from the final film of the Matrix trilogy, Revolutions. The first busts to be available are of Neo, Morpheus and Trinity, hitting stores before Christmas. Additional characters should be available in the following year.
